Window Cleaning & Detailing in Margate

Margate is an older inland city of single-family homes, villa and condo communities, and canals, most of it built in the 1960s and 1970s.

Solpath provides window cleaning, pressure washing and soft washing in Margate, FL. Older windows, canals behind many homes and well-water sprinklers mean screens, tracks, rust stains and mildew come up as often as dirty glass.

Local Conditions

Why Margate windows need regular cleaning

  • Canals through the city

A network of canals runs through Margate, and many backyards end at one. The water side of the house stays damp and is where mildew shows first on the stucco.

  • Orange streaks from wells

Plenty of lawns here are watered from a private well. The iron in it paints orange fans on walls and sidewalks and speckles the lower glass, and it takes a rust remover to shift.

  • Original windows

Many homes still have their original single-hung windows and sliders. The glass is fine; the tracks, sills and screens have had decades to fill up.

  • Villa and condo communities

Villa and condo communities, many for residents over 55, make up a large part of the city. There the work is usually the inside glass and the Florida room rather than the building.

Questions

Window cleaning in Margate

How often should windows be cleaned in South Florida?
For most South Florida homes, quarterly cleaning is a practical baseline. Homes near salt water, homes with sprinklers hitting the glass, heavy landscaping, or nearby construction usually look better on a monthly schedule. Twice a year still makes a visible difference on a home set back from the coast with no irrigation on the windows.
What areas do you serve?
Solpath serves Broward County and Miami-Dade County. In Broward: Coconut Creek, Cooper City, Coral Springs, Dania Beach, Davie, Deerfield Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Hallandale Beach, Hillsboro Beach, Hollywood, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Lauderdale Lakes, Lauderhill, Lighthouse Point, Margate, Miramar, North Lauderdale, Oakland Park, Parkland, Pembroke Park, Pembroke Pines, Plantation, Pompano Beach, Sea Ranch Lakes, Southwest Ranches, Sunrise, Tamarac, West Park, Weston and Wilton Manors. In Miami-Dade: Aventura, Bal Harbour, Bay Harbor Islands, Biscayne Park, Coral Gables, Cutler Bay, Doral, El Portal, Florida City, Golden Beach, Hialeah, Hialeah Gardens, Homestead, Key Biscayne, Miami, Miami Beach, Miami Gardens, Miami Lakes, Miami Shores, Miami Springs, North Bay Village, North Miami, North Miami Beach, Opa-locka, Palmetto Bay, Pinecrest, South Miami, Sunny Isles Beach, Surfside, Sweetwater, Virginia Gardens and West Miami, plus Kendall, Westchester, Tamiami, The Hammocks and Fontainebleau. If you are just outside those areas, call and ask - we will tell you honestly whether we can get to you.
What happens if it rains right after my window cleaning?
Rain itself does not usually dirty a properly detailed window - dust and debris carried in the rain do. Our Monthly and Quarterly plans include RainBlock treatment, which is designed to help water bead and roll off the glass instead of sitting on it, so a storm is less likely to leave spotting behind.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
For exterior-only cleanings, no - as long as we can reach your windows with gates unlocked and pets secured, we can work while you are out. If your service includes interior windows, someone over 18 needs to be home to let us in.
How long does a window cleaning take?
Most homes take one to three hours depending on the number of windows, the number of stories, and how much detail work the screens and tracks need. We give you a time estimate with your quote so you can plan your day.
