Window Cleaning & Detailing in Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale homes sit close to salt water, and it shows on the glass. We hand-wash windows, screens, tracks and sills across the city, from the beach and Las Olas out to the western neighborhoods.

Solpath provides residential window detailing in Fort Lauderdale - exterior and interior glass, screens, tracks, sills and hard water removal. Homes east of Federal Highway usually need service more often because of salt air off the Intracoastal and the ocean.

Local Conditions

Why Fort Lauderdale windows need regular cleaning

  • Salt air off the Intracoastal

East of Federal Highway, glass picks up a salt haze that dries into a film. It is not dirt and it does not rinse off. Homes on the water often look better on a monthly schedule than a quarterly one.

  • Sprinklers on the west side

Irrigation is heavier in the western neighborhoods, and sprinkler water carries minerals. When it dries on the glass it leaves the white spotting that turns into hard water staining.

  • Boat and canal spray

Homes on the canals get spray as well as air-borne salt. The waterside elevation almost always needs more attention than the street side.

  • Summer storms

Afternoon storms drive dust and grit onto the glass and then dry fast in the sun. It is the reason windows can look worse a week after a wash than the day before it.

Questions

Window cleaning in Fort Lauderdale

How often should windows be cleaned in South Florida?
For most South Florida homes, quarterly cleaning is a practical baseline. Homes near salt water, homes with sprinklers hitting the glass, heavy landscaping, or nearby construction usually look better on a monthly schedule. Twice a year still makes a visible difference on a home set back from the coast with no irrigation on the windows.
What areas do you serve?
Solpath serves Broward County and Miami-Dade County, including Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Davie, Dania Beach, Pembroke Pines, Miramar and Miami. If you are just outside those cities, call and ask - we will tell you honestly whether we can get to you.
What happens if it rains right after my window cleaning?
Rain itself does not usually dirty a properly detailed window - dust and debris carried in the rain do. Our Monthly and Quarterly plans include a 7-day rain guarantee and RainBlock treatment: if rain leaves your glass looking worse within a week of a plan cleaning, we come back and touch it up.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
For exterior-only cleanings, no - as long as we can reach your windows with gates unlocked and pets secured, we can work while you are out. If your service includes interior windows, someone over 18 needs to be home to let us in.
How long does a window cleaning take?
Most homes take one to three hours depending on the number of windows, the number of stories, and how much detail work the screens and tracks need. We give you a time estimate with your quote so you can plan your day.
