Why Homestead windows need regular cleaning

  • Nurseries and groves

Plant nurseries and groves around the city irrigate heavily and work bare soil. Spray and fine dust drift onto nearby homes, and the glass on that side shows it first.

  • Newer subdivisions

Many homes are newer builds in communities such as Keys Gate, with large sliders, tile roofs and irrigation on a timer. Upper glass and roofs are the parts owners cannot reach.

  • Wells in the rural areas

Outside the city grid, homes often irrigate from wells. Iron in that water leaves orange staining on walls, driveways and the lower glass.

  • Shutters on older homes

Older homes often still rely on panel or accordion shutters. Their tracks fill with sand and debris and are worth clearing before June.

Questions

Window cleaning in Homestead

How often should windows be cleaned in South Florida?
For most South Florida homes, quarterly cleaning is a practical baseline. Homes near salt water, homes with sprinklers hitting the glass, heavy landscaping, or nearby construction usually look better on a monthly schedule. Twice a year still makes a visible difference on a home set back from the coast with no irrigation on the windows.
What areas do you serve?
Solpath serves Broward County and Miami-Dade County. In Broward: Coconut Creek, Cooper City, Coral Springs, Dania Beach, Davie, Deerfield Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Hallandale Beach, Hillsboro Beach, Hollywood, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Lauderdale Lakes, Lauderhill, Lighthouse Point, Margate, Miramar, North Lauderdale, Oakland Park, Parkland, Pembroke Park, Pembroke Pines, Plantation, Pompano Beach, Sea Ranch Lakes, Southwest Ranches, Sunrise, Tamarac, West Park, Weston and Wilton Manors. In Miami-Dade: Aventura, Bal Harbour, Bay Harbor Islands, Biscayne Park, Coral Gables, Cutler Bay, Doral, El Portal, Florida City, Golden Beach, Hialeah, Hialeah Gardens, Homestead, Key Biscayne, Miami, Miami Beach, Miami Gardens, Miami Lakes, Miami Shores, Miami Springs, North Bay Village, North Miami, North Miami Beach, Opa-locka, Palmetto Bay, Pinecrest, South Miami, Sunny Isles Beach, Surfside, Sweetwater, Virginia Gardens and West Miami, plus Kendall, Westchester, Tamiami, The Hammocks and Fontainebleau. If you are just outside those areas, call and ask - we will tell you honestly whether we can get to you.
What happens if it rains right after my window cleaning?
Rain itself does not usually dirty a properly detailed window - dust and debris carried in the rain do. Our Monthly and Quarterly plans include RainBlock treatment, which is designed to help water bead and roll off the glass instead of sitting on it, so a storm is less likely to leave spotting behind.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
For exterior-only cleanings, no - as long as we can reach your windows with gates unlocked and pets secured, we can work while you are out. If your service includes interior windows, someone over 18 needs to be home to let us in.
How long does a window cleaning take?
Most homes take one to three hours depending on the number of windows, the number of stories, and how much detail work the screens and tracks need. We give you a time estimate with your quote so you can plan your day.
