Window Cleaning & Detailing in Miami Shores

Miami Shores is a village of homes from the 1920s to the 1950s on wide, tree-shaded streets, with Barry University, a country club, and a strip of bayfront homes east of Biscayne Boulevard.

Solpath provides window cleaning, soft washing, pressure washing and boat cleaning in Miami Shores, FL. Older homes with many small panes and heavy tree cover mean detail work on frames, screens and tracks, while the bayfront homes also deal with salt.

Why Miami Shores windows need regular cleaning

  • Steel casements and small panes

Many houses keep casement windows from the 1930s through the 1950s, some with steel frames and small divided panes. They are cleaned by hand, pane by pane, with care around old hardware.

  • Wide, shaded streets

Large trees shade most streets. Leaves pack the tracks and gutters, and shaded walls and roofs grow the algae that soft washing removes.

  • Bayfront east of Biscayne Boulevard

Homes between Biscayne Boulevard and the bay take salt air and bay spray, and some keep a boat at the dock.

  • Barrel tile on older homes

Mediterranean-style homes from the 1920s and 1930s often have barrel tile roofs, which streak black under the trees and are never pressure washed.

Questions

Window cleaning in Miami Shores

How often should windows be cleaned in South Florida?
For most South Florida homes, quarterly cleaning is a practical baseline. Homes near salt water, homes with sprinklers hitting the glass, heavy landscaping, or nearby construction usually look better on a monthly schedule. Twice a year still makes a visible difference on a home set back from the coast with no irrigation on the windows.
What areas do you serve?
Solpath serves Broward County and Miami-Dade County. In Broward: Coconut Creek, Cooper City, Coral Springs, Dania Beach, Davie, Deerfield Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Hallandale Beach, Hillsboro Beach, Hollywood, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Lauderdale Lakes, Lauderhill, Lighthouse Point, Margate, Miramar, North Lauderdale, Oakland Park, Parkland, Pembroke Park, Pembroke Pines, Plantation, Pompano Beach, Sea Ranch Lakes, Southwest Ranches, Sunrise, Tamarac, West Park, Weston and Wilton Manors. In Miami-Dade: Aventura, Bal Harbour, Bay Harbor Islands, Biscayne Park, Coral Gables, Cutler Bay, Doral, El Portal, Florida City, Golden Beach, Hialeah, Hialeah Gardens, Homestead, Key Biscayne, Miami, Miami Beach, Miami Gardens, Miami Lakes, Miami Shores, Miami Springs, North Bay Village, North Miami, North Miami Beach, Opa-locka, Palmetto Bay, Pinecrest, South Miami, Sunny Isles Beach, Surfside, Sweetwater, Virginia Gardens and West Miami, plus Kendall, Westchester, Tamiami, The Hammocks and Fontainebleau. If you are just outside those areas, call and ask - we will tell you honestly whether we can get to you.
What happens if it rains right after my window cleaning?
Rain itself does not usually dirty a properly detailed window - dust and debris carried in the rain do. Our Monthly and Quarterly plans include RainBlock treatment, which is designed to help water bead and roll off the glass instead of sitting on it, so a storm is less likely to leave spotting behind.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
For exterior-only cleanings, no - as long as we can reach your windows with gates unlocked and pets secured, we can work while you are out. If your service includes interior windows, someone over 18 needs to be home to let us in.
How long does a window cleaning take?
Most homes take one to three hours depending on the number of windows, the number of stories, and how much detail work the screens and tracks need. We give you a time estimate with your quote so you can plan your day.
